We spotted this Civic in Skill Customs' workshop whilst we were shooting Ric's Civic. But rather than slip some pics into Ric's feature we thought it deserved its very own! The Civic has been sitting around for years in Skill Customs' workshop, with mods being carried out every now and then as time permitted but after a while it got left at the back of the workshop, as other projects with higher priority came in. You know how the story goes...

Kanon, owner of Skill Customs, had always wanted to do a graffiti car since he was young, with some really nice pieces on the sides so it looked smart. It came to 2 weeks before the 2007 Modified Nationals show, the car had already been fitted with 20s and coilovers and the plan was put in place "let's try and get it done for Modified Nationals".

What followed is the stuff of dreams; custom metal arches with all of the body kit modified to fit the arches, all the doors smoothed, handles relocated to where the mirrors usually are and much more. This all got done in 2 weeks, but there wasn't really enough time to spray it properly before the show, likewise there was still the smashed front windscreen.

Can you guess what happened next?! Kanon thought he might as well do what he always wanted to do - graff a car! With the smashed window too, he thought it would make it look that little bit funnier. The Thursday before Modified Nationals a few mates of Kanon's came down and did the whole car.

It was done as a bit of a pisstake really. They've done some insane spotless paintwork over the past few months, already showed (in his opinion, and ours) that his paint finish is better than everyone else's, so thought he'd show that even without a perfect paint finish he can build a car that can draw attention! We think it did perfectly!

The plan is to maintain the car in its current state until Kanon gets time to give it the full Skill Customs finish with a traditional coat of the liquid stuff. But we think it looks just awesome in its current form. Can you imagine the looks you'd get if you drove this on the road?!

As you can see from the pics Skill Customs can carry out anything you can dream up so take a look at their website:Big thanks to the guys at Skill Customs for hosting the shoot
