Trax is one of the shows Pimpster really look forward to each year. This is mainly because it's a massive show, with loads of car clubs (over 4,000 cars on display!), exhibitors, lots of car show girls and masses of track action. For as long as we can remember, the show has never disappointed us in any way.

Being a single day show, the scale of the show makes it hard to do it justice in just one day. Whilst some of the other shows on the calendar are unjustifiably stretched out over two days, if there is a show which could do with an extra day, it's Trax!

The main Silverstone pit paddock is the focal area of the show, with all the exhibitors and their demo cars gathered in and around the pit garages. The vast majority of the whole infield is then covered with hundreds of car clubs, all showing off their members' cars and having a social day.

Unfortunately, one of the very few negative points of Trax is that it usually signals the UK car show season coming to an end, but with Modded UK now a major player on the calendar, this has changed. Still, what a way to end the season!

Highlights from the show included a Gumball Rally track session, along with some performance drifting from the Driftworks crew. Fast Car magazine also use the show to host the final of the Breast of Britain wet t-shirt competition, with Pimpster girl Heidi taking the honours and winning a pile of cash, a photo shoot for Fast Car magazine and a modelling contract to be a car show model with Fast Car during 2008.

In addition to the Breast of Britain competition, this year there also appeared to be lots more car show models at the show. Modified car shows are usually well supplied with a few beautiful promo girls, but taking over from Max Power Live's girl count, we think Trax is now one of the best shows for quantity and quality when it comes to car show girls.

Overall, we had a great day out at the show. A massive thanks to Jo at Future for sorting the press access, Heidi for being our Pimpster girl for the show, Pioneer for letting us up on top of their truck, Ruby for looking after Pimpster Mark's jacket, Jane for being Jane and Richie Don for the Pimpster shout-outs on the Pioneer stand.

Here's to next year's Trax... Did you notice we didn't have to mention the weather at all for a change?!?!
