Since most of the pimpster crew are VW drivers and self-confessed Dubheads this show is a must visit. Not the biggest or best show on the UK VW calendar but a good chance to get together with fellow VW enthusiasts and see some of the best cars in the UK stationary and in action on the strip.

The organisation of this show was fantastic, the team could teach other show organisers a thing or two! Priority parking for VIPs (which includes the pimpster crew of course!), all access press access around the entire show and helpful and knowledgeable staff (they even offered to help us carry a set of wheels bought at the show!)

The only faux-pas on the part of the organisers was the decision to move most of the trade stands from the hardstanding (where they are usually placed) on to the grass. When the inevitable British summer rain came it meant the field quickly turned into a bog; cue brown trainers and wet jeans!

Luckily the rain soon broke to give way to the bright sunshine and it was time to slap some sun lotion on!

Vredestein tyres were running a handling circuit and taking passengers around the course. It was a lot of fun trying to maintain a conversation about the intricacies of the VR6 engine whilst hanging on to your seat! The sprint strip was open for 0-60 and quarter mile timing and it was great to see the cars in action.

The star of the show was the official VW W12-650 concept especially flown into the UK for the show. It truly is an awesome beast and no amount of pictures can do it justice.

The rest of the was made up of the huge show and shine area, which always dominates any VW show and the massive amount of club stands from all around the country. Check out the galleries for all the pics. Remember you can chat about this show in the forum...
