This was not your typical Pimpster show, but Pimpster is just as much about the cars as it is the girls, so the Pimpster Crew popped along to the Edition 38 show in Northampton to check out some top notch VW's.

With members of the Pimpster team having VW Golf's, Edition 38 was of great interest to Pimpster, despite the lack of promo girls. There was not one scantily clad woman to be seen at the show, and that wasn't just because of the lousy wet weather, but to be honest, this wasn't too apparent as there was loads of metal bodywork to look at instead!

However, we did have the lovely Miss Fast Car finalist Nicci M with us for company, as Nicci is a massive self-confessed 'Dub Head', but unfortunately for us, the cold English weather saw Nicci wrap up and do a rather good impersonation of E.T.!

The main focus of the show was the drive-on stage, with cars regularly taking the stage and the owner interviewed over the tannoy system, which is a first for a show we've attended. Meanwhile, the massive 'Show & Shine' competition dominated the main show area, with loads of Golf's, Polo's, Lupo's, Beetle's and Audi's sitting spotless waiting to be inspected.

There were then the many regional owners clubs surrounding the show area, along with general trade stalls, including the auto-jumble stalls which are customary to VW shows.

There really is nothing else like it....you can't imagine any other manufacturer having a show of a similar nature. VW owners really are a different breed, for all the right reasons, and we can't quite put our finger on it as to why?
